For cosmetic, therapeutic and restorative, rehabilitation and therapy treatments. It charges the body with magnesium and has a healing effect on the muscular, joint and bone structure. In addition, it relaxes, nourishes and hydrates the skin of the body. The trace elements and minerals penetrate the skin and have a refreshing and toning effect on the whole body. Suitable for spa, wellness, balneological, physiotherapy and fitness centres, saunas and home use.
Directions for use:
- Bath – pour 500–2000 ml of the solution into 60–80 l of water at a temperature of around 38 degrees Celsius. The treatment lasts approximately 15–30 minutes, after which the body is rinsed thoroughly with water.
- Local baths – pour 150–200 ml into water in a suitable container so that it covers the ankles. Foot baths may also be made with undiluted lye. The treatment lasts 20–30 minutes and is particularly suitable for rheumatic pain in the ankles, as well as for nail fungus.
- Body rubs – rubbing the body with lye using a sponge. The body is rubbed with a sponge or cotton cloth soaked in lye. The concentration depends on the sensitivity of the skin, with a maximum ratio of 1:5 (lye:water). After 15–20 minutes, the body is rinsed thoroughly with water, without using soap or shower gel.
- Compresses – for painful joints, apply compresses with lye warmed to 38–40 degrees in a water bath (for people with high blood pressure, the lye is not warmed). A cotton cloth or towel is soaked in the lye and the affected area is wrapped twice, insulated with plastic or cling film and covered with a bath towel. Keep the compress on for 20–40 minutes, once or twice a day. Recommended course: 12–14 treatments. Please note: In cases of varicose veins, compresses should be made with unwarmed lye.
Essence:
Black Sea (Pomorie) lye is a natural product obtained during salt production at the Burgas and Pomorie salt lakes. After the water has evaporated from the salt pans and the salt has crystallised, the lye remains on the surface of the salt layer as a thick, cloudy, oil-like liquid of yellow-brown colour with a reddish tint.
The unique healing properties of lye are due to its rich mineral and organic composition; in terms of biologically active substances it is considerably superior to sea water. Its composition is close to that of the mud solution, which is why its action resembles that of the therapeutic mud extracted from these lakes.
Properties:
- has a strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action
- has a toning and relaxing effect on the whole body
- relieves tiredness and heaviness in the limbs
- nourishes and rejuvenates the skin and slows down its ageing
- mineralises the body and stimulates the natural defence responses of the immune system
The healing effect of lye has been proven for many conditions:
- conditions and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, rheumatic and neurological conditions – arthritis, arthrosis, neuritis, ankylosing spondylitis, inflammation of the periarticular tissues, sprains, joint dislocations, fractures, neuralgia, plexitis, discopathy and others.
- muscle pain, cramps
- skin conditions – psoriasis, acne, fungal infections, open wounds and others.
