Cash on delivery with postal money transfer

Ordinance No. N-18 of the Ministry of Finance requires traders to issue a till receipt for every sale — except when payment goes through as a postal money transfer via a licensed postal operator. This is exactly how cash on delivery works with us: you pay the courier, and the courier transfers the amount to the company by bank transfer.

What is the difference

• Standard cash on delivery — the courier collects the money and hands it over to the trader in cash. In that case the trader must issue a till receipt.
• Cash on delivery with a postal money transfer — the courier transfers the amount to the merchant's bank account and gives you a receipt. No fiscal receipt is required. This is the case with Speedy delivery.
• Cash on delivery with a fiscal receipt — the courier issues a fiscal receipt on the merchant's behalf. This is the case with Econt delivery; you will find details on the Cash on delivery with a fiscal receipt page.

Keep the receipt. It proves that you have paid — especially if you have requested an invoice.

1. Attach the receipt to the invoice. The postal money transfer receipt is the payment document.
2. Record the invoice as paid in cash — on the basis of the receipt.
3. Do not expect a till receipt. None is issued for this purchase — the receipt replaces it.

An invoice is requested on the order page by ticking "I would like an invoice" — with the company name, company number, address and authorised representative.
