Directions for use:

Apply lather from the soap onto previously dampened skin and leave to work for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water. The product is for external use only.

Black Sea liman mud contains all the components, minerals and microflora of Black Sea lye. The mud is filtered and cleared of impurities so that you can enjoy its proven benefits for the body and the skin in the safest possible way. Pomorie mud was rediscovered by Dr Petar Stoyanov in 1905. Over several years he studied its healing properties. A mud therapy centre was later built and the town of Pomorie established itself as a national seaside mud therapy resort.

Black Sea lye (also known as “Pomorie lye”, “mother lye”, “natural lye” or “medicinal lye”) is a natural product obtained during salt production in the Burgas and Pomorie salt lakes, containing many times the concentration of all the beneficial elements found in sea and lake water. In recent years it has been extracted only in the Burgas salt pans. As the water evaporates from the salt pan, the lye remains above the salt layer as a cloudy, thick, oil-like liquid with a yellow-brown colour and a reddish tint, and sometimes a pungent smell. According to numerous studies carried out over the years by scientists at ISUL and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, it has anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and antiseptic effects. In terms of qualities it is identical to the healing liman mud. It is used for therapeutic and restorative, rehabilitation and treatment procedures thanks to its content of minerals that are extremely valuable for the human body, with magnesium being predominant. Applied to the skin, Black Sea lye supplies the body with magnesium and a range of other valuable minerals and substances, having a beneficial effect on the muscular, joint and bone structure.
