Joint pain

Lye compresses are the most popular lye treatment at home. The lye is warmed in a water bath to 38–40 °C, applied to the joint with a cotton cloth and left on for 20 minutes to several hours, usually as a course of 12–14 treatments. How to make the compress

If you want a compress with no preparation, the ANCHIALO body applicator is a ready-made cotton cloth soaked in lye — you warm it in its pack and place it on the joint. Between compresses, the joint can be massaged with ANCHIALO massage gels and oils with lye — with arnica, rosemary, juniper or lavender.

Lye is a cosmetic product and does not replace medical treatment. If you have acute pain, inflammation or a fever, consult a doctor. Dr Antoaneta Grozeva explains more in How does lye help the joints and skin?
