Cocoa butter (Theobroma cacao) is a vegetable fat extracted from cocoa beans by pressing. The raw cocoa beans are fermented together with their husks, dried and ground into cocoa mass. Pressing the mass releases the cocoa butter, while the remaining solids are ground into cocoa powder – the two main ingredients of chocolate. Cold-pressed cocoa butter retains its valuable components.

Cocoa butter is one of the most stable vegetable fats – it contains natural antioxidants that protect it from going rancid. With its subtle chocolate aroma, smooth texture and powerful moisturising properties, it is one of the most popular cosmetic ingredients in the world.

Cocoa beans originate from Central and South America, where their butter has been used in skincare for centuries. It is rich in polyphenols – natural antioxidants, some of which remain in the butter even after it has been separated from the beans.

1. Protects the skin from dryness and flaking – Cocoa butter is an excellent moisturiser. It spreads easily, stays on the skin for a long time and locks in moisture, which makes it especially suitable for dry and rough skin. It can be combined with essential oils or with argan, castor or jojoba oil.

2. Softens and nourishes the skin – The polyphenols in cocoa butter help the skin look more elastic, smooth and well hydrated.

3. Makes massage easier – The cream melts on contact with warm skin, providing excellent glide during massage and leaving a pleasant aroma of cocoa and chocolate.

4. Aftershave care – A thin layer of cream hydrates the skin and reduces the feeling of tightness after shaving.

Tip: Apply the cream after a shower, while the skin is still warm – it will absorb more easily. If your skin is very sensitive, test it first on a small area.

Suitable both for home treatments and for professional rehabilitation, recovery, SPA & Wellness centres.
